Hot to Trot

When the credit crunch sinks its teeth in it is usually the indulgences that go first, those oh so pretty pedicures included. So you’ve given up your salon habit, but still want terrific tootsies for spring right? Here’s five steps to follow for your very own DIY pedicure.

Soak - Slough away any build up of dry skin with a good quality foot file, then sink feet into a bowl of warm water to soften and soothe. Add a drop of lemon or peppermint oil to make feet smell fresh.

Scrub - Grab your body exfoliator or a specialised foot scrub and get to work on those rough and flaky areas. Smooth down these patches for silky soft soles!

Trim – Cut toenails straight across the length of the nail for a clean cut. Avoid ingrown nails by making sure the edges of the nails are not curved.

Moisturise – Lock in moisture and keep feet soft with an intensive lotion designed for feet or the body.

Polish – Add a clear base coat to the nail surface before following with a bright pop of colour to get you feeling summery!
