The recession has meant most of us have had to tighten our belts at least a little bit. I have taken to a bit of DIY beauty, turning my back on the hair dressers to colour my own locks for a change. Others have started to choose budget skincare over their usual products but it isn’t something I can bring myself to do – I’d rather spend twice as much money on products which work and last, than poor quality, cheaper skincare which runs out in a couple of weeks.
