Brush Up – Blusher Brushes
If you are looking to buy a new blusher brush, it’s important to find one with a dome shape. This will ensure the colour is picked up on the center of the brush. Tapered, natural bristles and a medium-faced brush work best at blending and staying kind to the skin.
Those mini brushes that come with your blusher in the compact aren’t usually worth bothering with and are better off in the bin. They are too narrow and flat, so you’ll wind up drawing an obvious stripe on your cheeks rather than a subtle, rounded glow.
To apply blusher correctly, dab the blush on your brush, tap off the extra powder as you would for an angled eyeshadow brush, and smile as you look at yourself in the mirror to find the apple area on your cheeks. Keep the colour light and blend outward and downward to create a healthy flush. You can always build up the colour if you want more.
