Chocaholic
Chocolate has long been thought to be a prime cause of acne. This, however, is a false assumption – though a poor diet will cause poor skin health, a bar of chocolate won’t give way to a major eruption of spots.
However, the acne-chocolate link has been hard to break, so it may seem strange to many that the sweet treat is now being used to help alleviate the condition. Sounds perfect doesn’t it? ‘Frutels Acne Care in a Chocolate’ (available in the states) is a treatment that works from the inside out, using antioxidants and micronutrients and leaving out artificial ingredients, preservatives, and chemicals to clarify the skin.
While I haven’t tried the sweet acne treatment, the company claims eating two to five a day provides results within a fortnight. Beauty water was a huge hit last year, with many brands bringing out there own variations. Are beauty sweets the next big thing? I certainly looks like the nutraceutical trend is here to stay, look out for Frutels Chocolate on our shores soon. Ill be holding out for the acne clearing ice-cream…
