Festivities Begin
There used to be a time when festivals were all about music, mud, and not much else. Now though, each summer the soggy fields of England become a veritable feast of beauties and the competition is out on force. Festival goers are expected to combine grungy with gorgeous despite living in a tent and only having a small bag to contain all their beauty essentials.
The key to looking lovely in such harsh conditions is to keep your beauty collection simple and straight forward. Pack light with these festival beauty must haves, from Only Nature.
Bio Col Marine Eye Makeup Remover, £15.00 – Remembering to take off your make-up before you finally get to sleep will help you look and feel refreshed in the morning. Don’t forget to take some cotton wool pads. For a pick me up for tired eyes, soak two cotton pads in the solution and lay them on your eye for five minutes. It will cool and soothe fatigued and puffy eyes.
Hannah Vitamin Complex, from £37 – If you feel tired, grimy or hot then a mist of this spray will help sort you out. Loaded with vitamins A, D, E, F and K it is incredibly moisturising and will instantly revive your skin and your senses. Keep it close for touch ups at any time.
Sesha Makeup Remover, £24, and Natural Toner, £20 – Chances are you aren’t going to have access to hot water so you’ll need to use wipe off cleansers. Opt for a make-up remover to sweep away surface dirt, oil and cosmetic then follow with a toner to pick up any last traces of dirt.
Heliocare SPF 50, from £20 – I see far too many people returning from festivals with terrible sun burn. It is painful, unsightly and causes permanent damage to the skin. Stay safe and use a high factor sun screen. If you are short on space you can switch it for your moisturiser – though if you do this you may wish to choose the gel rather than the cream or spray, as it will not suffocate the skin.
