Quick Tip – Dandruff

I had always thought that dandruff was down to the scalp becoming too dry, and subsequently flaking. It would seem that is not the case however. According to celebrity trichologist Dr. David Kingsley, you can help reduce unsightly flakes by soaking a cotton ball in mint mouthwash and gently rubbing it on the affected areas.

Do this when your hair is dry in order to soak up white specks and even some of the excess oil.

It is also a good idea to use a dandruff shampoo once a week until your scalp calms down and re-balances. It’s not something I would have thought of myself, but it could be worth a try if you suffer from the dreaded hair snow.
