Quick Tip

Here’s a few tips to keep your nails looking great!

Look After Your Polish – Store your nail varnish in the fridge to help maintain its consistency. When painting, dip the brush into the polish once for each nail. When you dip it repeatedly air is forced into the varnish, which thickens it. Wipe the necks of the bottle clean after use; this allows a tight seal and prevents air getting in, thickening the polish.

Layer, Layer and Layer Again – Two layers of base coat will create a canvas to paint on, and prevent nails from staining. Paint it underneath the nails as well to smooth the nail edge. Next apply two coats of colour, right to the edges, and finish with a top coat, to seal in the colour and fast-dry it. The next day add another layer of top coat. Four days later apply another layer of colour, followed by another top coat. This will keep your nails fresh.

Don’t Neglect Cuticles – Massage two layers of cuticle cream into the nails. Orange sticks can damage the nail, so always wrap wet cotton wool around the orange stick before pushing your cuticles back. Finish by rubbing in some nourishing oil.
