Last week, up and coming American R&B singer Krys Ivory turned up at a red carpet event with this unusual hairstyle. The style is a much slicker version of the twenties finger wave and the singer somehow manages to make the ‘do look modern, contemporary and even futuristic.

The edgy singer has had quite a battle at just 23, having faced and thwarted cancer and I think she looks great here. It’s nice to see people pushing the boundaries in beauty and hair.
