Long Live P. King

Poppy King has quickly risen to fame in the beauty bizz for her take on red lipstick. Her range consists of a multitude of formulas from highly pigmented lippies to sheer shades, and now lip glosses and pencils too.

I came across an interview with her in the telegraph where she suggests applying lipstick straight from the tubes (you can almost feel the makeup artists recoiling in horror) and talks about getting inspiration from the middle ages.

Here’s one of her tips from the article;

“For a bold, fresh look, wear red lipstick with minimal make-up. Even out your skin with a base or luminiser to get it looking even but natural, then apply mascara, very little liner or eyeshadow, a smidgen of blush on the apples of the cheeks, not horrible stripes, for that country picnic look.”
