Swine Flu Update
The number of new cases of Swine Flu has decreased, despite a rise in deaths from the virus on the last week, it has been announced.
The Health Protection Agency revealed the news yesterday. 530 patients have been admitted to hospital suffering from H1N1 compared to 793 last week. There were around 30, 000 new cases in the country, the majority of which are mild.
Furthermore, an HPA spokesman stated that the virus is not changing which is good news as it has not developed a resistance to anti-virals or mutated to become more dangerous.
Whilst this is good news, it is expected that there will be a second wave of Swine Flu when the schools reopen after the summer holidays.
