Beauty School Dropout
A new program in Australia is using marketing to target young girls in a very personal way – by getting to them at school.
The program is called Fashion Roll Call and is partly sponsored by makeup brand NP Set Cosmetics. It is currently touring all-girl schools around Australia with the aim of educating girls in fashion and beauty industry careers.
The program presents what they call a “lunch-time fashion parade” followed by makeup application tutorials taught by makeup artists who work for NP Set.
Now, if I were a little girl I’m sure I would love this, but it’s not hard to see that this is more of a promotional stunt than an education campaign – otherwise, why is it limited to just girls schools?
What do you think of this Ozzy program?
