There’s a new anti-ageing procedure in the UK market which has my stomach turning.

Called “S3″ or Stimulated Self Serum skin therapy, the treatment involves injecting your own blood into your face.

Although, it’s a little more complicated than that. Instead of straight up blood being used, it is the clear serum that’s left over after red blood cells and platelets have been removed, that’s used.

The doctor draws your blood, separates it, mixes the resulting serum with amino acids and other vitamins, and finally injects the mixture back into your face.

A similar procedure is already used to help regrow gum tissue in those with receding gum lines, so it is thought it will help regenerate skin cells too.
