Controversial

In an interview published by WWD today, Kate Moss has sparked some controversy. The article starts OK, with WWD asking the supermodel how she defines beauty.

Moss answered, “It sounds really corny, but I think that if you’re beautiful inside, it shows on the outside for sure. You can be a pretty face, but if you’re not a nice person, it just doesn’t work. I’m not traditionally a beauty, but apparently people think I’m all right. If you’re a nice person, it definitely helps.”

Not so bad. But when asked about her personal motto she responded with “There are loads. There’s “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.” That’s one of them. You try and remember, but it never works.”

This short motto has sparked frenzy across fashion and beauty blogs, claiming that as a role model for young women and teenagers it was a thoughtless and irresponsible thing to say. What do you think of this shocking little motto of the model who found sparked the 1980s movement for ‘heroin-chic’?
