Healthy Hair Tips

One of the best ways to get strong healthy hair is to cut down on the blow drying and heat appliances like tongs and straighteners. I blowdry my hair every other day, and have done for the past couple of years, and I’ve noticed a big difference in the quality of my hair.

Here are some tips for helping air-drying along. I’m going to be following them to get healthier hair for summer.

Choose an appropriate towel: An ultra-absorbent towel, specific to holding wet hair will save time whilst waiting for wet hair to dry out.

Pick up a comb: Apply a hair serum formulated to speed up drying times to the hair, then gently work it through the hair with a comb. Make sure you use a wide-toothed comb as wet hair is delicate and can break easily.
Add product: A light mousse can be applied to wet hair in order to add volume and body at the root. Use a small amount to prevent the hair becoming crunchy.
Rake it: Use your fingers to tousle the hair at regular intervals as it dries as you can’t rely on heat styling to get your desired looks. For wavy and curly hair, wind and twirl the hair around fingers.
