Topshop Creates Makeup Line

15 years ago Topshop experimented in selling makeup and this year, it’s going back to cosmetics. From May, the high street chain store will be selling a range of cosmetics at its top 30 shops and online, as well as in the company’s New York store.

The line will consist of color palettes which reflect Topshop clothing and accessories; making it a highly fashionable, trend-led brand.  It will also include a sheer Skin Tint and Skin Glow rather than heavy foundation or powder; perhaps to appeal to the stores younger, fresher skinned customers.

There will also be four to six seasonal collections in one year – following Topshop’s way of turning trends over quickly.

“It’s playful, almost like the Topshop girl drew it herself,” designer Lizzie Dawson told WWD. Will you be interested in this line?
