Drink Up!
New research has
found that a cup of cocoa could boost brain power, even going as far as to help treat dementia.
Scientists at the University of Nottingham have discovered that cocoa is high in natural nutrients which increase blood flow to the brain.
The chocolaty drink could help treat conditions such as strokes or dementia, which are caused by an interruption to the brain’s usual blood supply. This is because cocoa is high in antioxidants called flavanols which work by dilating the blood vessels, in turn increasing blood flow to the brain.
