St. Tropez upset Prince’s Trust
Anyone who knows about cosmetics has heard of luxury self tanning brand St Tropez. Until recently St. Tropez was donating £10 from every purchase to the Princes Trust, but they have recently lost the charity’s support after an irresponsible advert from the brand.
In the advert, brand spokepserson Kelly Osbourne stated the tan make you look “10 lbs. skinnier” and also “healthy.” She has also been noted as saying that before using the tan she “looked like Miss Piggy,” ; hardly a body confidence boosting statement from a role model.
The Trust backed out after getting angry letters from parents about the advert’s possible effect on kids. Do you think this was fair or an over-reaction?
