New York’s Museum of Arts and Design is is opening a Center of Olfactory Art, curated by renowned scent critic Chandler Burr. The Museum is one step ahead with this exploration into the sense of smell. It’s something we experience all the time without even taking notice of it, so it seems right that it should be celebrated in this way. The creation of fragrance could certainly be seen as an art form. The first exhibition will be “The Art of Scent, 1889-2011”, which opens in November 2011.
