As Elizabeth Taylor passed away this week, I’ve been thinking of the star’s beauty empire. She was one of the first celebrities to create her own fragrance, and Passion was the name of her debut scent which launched in 1987. White Diamonds, another of her perfumes, remains popular even today.

Did you know, that for the launch of Passion, Marshall Field’s department store in the USA toasted Elizabeth with a fountain bubbling with violet-colored Champagne. Now that’s what I call a launch party!
