Luxury Skincare Sales Rise in USA

It seems that in the States at least, an increase in sales of high-end skincare could be signalling the end of the financial recession.

Whilst a rise in sales of lipstick is said to be directly related to a poor economy (as women swap more expensive treats like clothes for more affordable cosmetics), it is thought that high end skin care is more luxurious and an investment that cannot be afforded when times are tough.

CNN has reported that America’s eight percent increase of luxury skincare purchases of $300 to $500  in 2010 signals economic recovery and growing confidence amongst consumers.
