An American man is suing a nail salon for $200,000 after he went for a manicure and found that the salon charged one dollar more than what a woman would pay. “I feel I’m being discriminated against based on my gender,” stated customer Norris Sydnor “There’s nothing to say my hands or my nails are any different than a woman’s nails.”

A judge has ordered an injunction that the offender, Rich’s Nail Salon, does not charge different prices based on gender but the result of the suit has not yet been decided. Women frequently have to pay more for salon treatments, haircuts and even dry cleaning – so is it fair that men should pay more for manicures?
