Beauty Myths Busted – Acne and Dairy
Acne is usually caused by hormonal fluctuations, stress, and genetics, but many people believe that acne can also be caused by eating dairy products. However, that’s not quite true.
Studies suggest that whilst dairy consumption may exacerbate acne, it does not cause it in the first place. This is because dairy can increase hormonal fluctuation for some people which increases inflammation and makes acne worse.
So, cutting down on your dairy products could help lessen your acne but won’t get rid of it completely.
