Torn a nail? Don’t panic, you can temporarily repair it if you don’t want to cut it down completely. Take a snip of paper from a tea bag big enough to cover the tear and apply a small bead of glue to it. Press the paper on to the tear and let it dry. Next, file down the paper so that it is smooth and sits nicely over the nail. Add a base coat, two coats of coloured varnish and a top coat to finish.
