Teenagers under 14 are already not allowed to tan via sunbeds in the state of California, but next year the age limit will be increased to 18. The Indoor Tanning Association re[presents the tanning industry and is kicking up quite a fuss as a not inconsiderable portion of its members’ clients (between 5 an 10 percent) are under 18. However, more and more young women are being diagnosed with skin cancer and using tanning beds, particularly at a young age, has proven to be very dangerous.
