The Skin Awards
Every year, Dr Vail Reese, an American dermatologist, unveils his awards for the best and worse celebrity skin moments of the previous twelve months. For 2011, Dr Reese announced the beauty mark which Michelle Williams added in her portrayal as Marilyn Monroe as a top moment.
“The beauty mark had an established career before the invention of celluloid,” explains Dr. Reese “[They were] used to heighten the features of the aristocracy. Some have postulated that marks were used to conceal small pox scars.”
