Yarrow

For troubled and sensitive skin. Anti-irritant and germicidal action, antisceptic and wound healing. As an astringent tonic, helps to reduce acne. Natural anti-perspirant. May also be used to boost hair growth and restore elasticity.

Clary Sage

For normal and oily skin. Has antiseptic and antibacterial properties. A help for conjunctivitis and as a mouth freshner as well as a natural antiperspirant. Helps prevent dandruff.

Lavender

Suitable for all skin types. Antiseptic, anti irritant and replenishing. Hastens the healing of sunburn, soothes the skin and reduces razor and insect bite irritations. Improves skin resilience and elasticity. Restores hair shine and its silky texture. Helps prevent dandruff

Chamomile (English)

Suitable for dry and sensitive skin. Has distinct antiallergenic, anti-irritant and antiseptic properties. Wound and sunburn healing agent. Damp compress reduces puffiness, reddening and skin irritation. Excellent hair booster; gives it extra shine and a pleasant silky texture

Melissa

Melissa/ lemon balm water is an useful remedy, widely used for cosmetic and hygenic purposes. It has a distinctive germicidal action, antiseptic and anti-hemorrhagic property. Effective for problem and troubled skin types, especially for ageing and orange-peel skin. Tones up the skin and normalises the functions of the sebaceous glands.

Very useful when used as a skin tonic and has been used as a facial cleanser and toner.The aroma of this superb sample is absolutely wonderful and is very reminiscent of a the roses it is produced from. Distilled from rosa damascena the water has a pH of 7.34 and has an essential oil content of 0.018%

Rose

Produced during the distillation of eucalyptus foliage produced by growers in the Cornish peninsular of Southern England. A very aromatic water and the water to use in winter. Stir a dessertspoonful into herbal tea to ward off winter germs. Ideal when inhaled because it clears and disinfects the breathing system. People prone to sinusitis and colds may find this water helpful. Also, a very refreshing and toning face spray.

English Eucalyptus

A very pleasant floral water/hydrosol, produced during the steam distillation of olibanum gum/resin from Somalia. Distilled in the United Kingdom. This is a usefull conditioner for the skin, especially for mature skin as it helps to improve skin structure and texture by encouraging the growth of new skin cells.

Frankincense

A pure hydro-distilled product produced when distilling the geranium plants for their essential oils. Grown and distilled in the Scilly Isles. A Rose scented geranium water.  Ideal for removing makeup and thoroughly cleansing your skin. It is well-known as an excellent cell regenerator and can be used on problem skins, acne, spots, etc. Soothes skin irritations. Should not be left to dry on the skin as this can cause excessive dryness.

Geranium

(Pelargonium Rosaeodora)

Produced during the summer months this sample of hyssop floral water (hydrolat) was produced while steam distilling the hyssop herb to extract the essential oil. A pure and natural product packed in 1 litre or 500 litre bulk bottles or smaller sizes in our famous blue bottles. This relaxing, tonic herb is also useful in respiratory infections where it will help to liquify and clear congested and excessive catarrhal secretions. Not to be used if you may suffer from epilepsy.

Hyssop

(Juiperus communis) - This floral water/hydrosol is produced during the steam distillation of the imported juniper berries. The floral water is collected after distillation and cooling, no preservatives are added allowing the water to be as pure and natural. Juniper floral water is helpful for oily skin and for treating acne or blocked pores. It is an excellent astringent toner and cleanser.

Juniper

Citrus lemon. A pure lemon hydrosol, produced by steam distillation of ripe lemons to produce a fresh citrus, highly aromatic hydrosol. Possibly the only English distilled lemon hydrosol/water available. Lemon is known for its antiseptic and counter-irritant effects on the skin. Leaves the skin and senses feeling hydrated and recharged. May be used for cooling whilst avoiding direct sun.

Citrus Lemon

Produced during the steam distillation of the imported Myrrh gum (commiphora myrrha). Available all season and very reminiscent of the myrrh oil. Antiseptic and healing and useful for treating chapped or mature skin.

Myrrh

Produced from the steam distillation of green myrtle foliage Cornwall in the South Western tip of England. For use on oily, impure skin as it has a balancing and regulating effect on the sebaceous glands. Its mild antiseptic property gently heals blemishes and small wounds, and a regenerative effect on cells that prevents scarring. Effectively kills bacteria that causing bad breath mouth when used as a mouthwash

Myrtle

Freshly distilled from English peppermint plantations during July and September during the extraction of the essential oils from the fresh herb.A wonderfully fresh floral with that sweet peppermint freshness. A good reviver for tired feet and for freshening up and very popular.

Peppermint

Produced during the distillation of imported Sandalwood, we have this English distilled sandalwood water available. The aroma of this water is particularly good being uplifting and toning. Sandalwood is a rare hydrosol with many uses. Excellent for skin care, especially delicate and mature skin. It is mildly anti-inflammatory, it can be good for calming the skin and is particularly useful after shaving. Sandalwood is also known for its calming properties and can be useful for everyday stresses and strains.

Sandalwood

Samphire  has long been collected by hand and used as a food and has become a sought after delicacy in some parts. The fleshy bright green aromatic herb grows wild on the coast line of the Isles of Scilly at St Agnes and is collected and distilled for its oil which is used in local soap making. The hydrosol which is collected during the distillation of the wild crafted herb. The plant is sometimes referred to as sea fennel. Useful on cellulite, stretch marks and helpful for the circulation. Helps to balance the thyroid.
